Volunteer Hours
This year Pliking Volunteers recorded 1,607 hours of service, which brought our total
recorded service to 6,972 hours. This year Pliking volunteers collected approximately
212 large bags of trash, 1 large dumpster and have cleaned over 270 miles of trails, parks
and waterways.
Expenses
In 2025, we spent a total of $2,037 and received donations of $2,208.
● Promotional – Pliking water bottles, stickers,and bling for give-aways and
events.
● Equipment – grabbers, gloves, buckets, and bags
● Office – Meetup, WordPress and State registration
● Snacks and water for events.
We will continue our Pay Pal “Go Fund Me” with a goal of $1,000 in donations through
individual and business donations.
PLIKING PROGRAMS
Leadership Team
Operated with 3 Board Members throughout the year.
Cherie Malone, Lyndsey Sorrentino and Kirsten Hiortdahl are currently remaining at
year end. Dave Stuart and Trixie Marie Hahn act as advisors to the board without voting
rights.
Cherie Malone has continued to update Social Media, provide Educational
Presentations, and is the liaison for Business, Organization and School Volunteer
events.
Trixie Marie Hahn manages the Pliking.org website.
Lyndsey Sorrentino is the Board Secretary and Treasurer as well as an organizer for
both Ogden and Salt Lake City Meetup group events and the liaison for Ogden Trails
Network.
Kitty Hiortdahl manages the Meetup Calendar and acts as liaison for DNR and Antelope
Island State Park events.
Pliking 27 Challenge
The Pliking 27 Challenge,which rewards individuals for Pliking the 27 trails listed on
Ogden City’s trails map, is now an ongoing program.
